Meet Dr. Stephen Colby

As a third-generation orthodontist, you could say that creating beautiful smiles is in Dr. Stephen Colby’s blood. Whether treating a teen or an adult, his focus is on the patient and he is driven by the satisfaction that he is making a lasting difference.
Dr. Colby enjoys helping patients of all ages achieve beautiful, confident smiles that maximize function, aesthetics, and comfort. He has exclusively practiced orthodontics in the Edina area for over 20 years.
Dr. Colby attended DePauw University where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree. He continued to the University of Minnesota where he earned a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree and Master of Science degree.
Dr. Colby is an active member of the American Association of Orthodontists and Minnesota Association of Orthodontists. He is a Diamond Plus Invisalign® Provider (in the top 1% of orthodontists worldwide) and has completed more than 3,000 cases. Dr. Colby serves as an orthodontic consultant for the prestigious national Spear Study Club.
Dr. Colby is proud to have grown up in Edina and live, work, and raise his family here. He and his wife, Kristi, have three children, Peter, Drew, and David. Outside of work, Dr. Colby enjoys playing golf and hockey, fishing, and spending time at his cabin.
